About the position

Cook MyoSite, Inc. is on a mission to integrate regenerative medicine into everyday healthcare. The Territory Sales Manager II will play a crucial role in this mission by identifying and establishing new customer relationships to achieve year-on-year revenue and pipeline growth targets. This position focuses on business development across various service areas, including the East Coast, West Coast, Northeast, and Southern California. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business through high levels of customer engagement, which includes frequent direct visits and extensive networking activities. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager II will effectively promote the company's current technical capabilities and emerging technologies to facilitate the generation and closing of new business opportunities. This will be achieved through various communication methods, including email, phone conversations, tailored presentations, and in-person visits. Building trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, from technical personnel to executives, is essential for success in this position. The manager will collaborate with marketing, account managers, and product development teams to develop strategies that reinforce MyoSite's position as a leading solutions provider. The role also involves negotiating contracts with increasing autonomy, identifying market trends, assessing market potential, and developing strategies to grow market share. Providing timely, industry-leading customer support and interfacing with internal resources when necessary are critical components of the job. The Territory Sales Manager II must possess a high degree of business acumen, including competencies in financial analysis, market positioning, and understanding the healthcare industry, to make sound decisions and achieve business objectives for the assigned territory. Additionally, the manager will assist in devising sales plans and strategies, as well as developing forecasts, budgets, and operating plans for product sales channels.

Responsibilities

  • Generates new business from new customers through a high level of customer contact including frequent direct customer visits and extensive networking activities.
  • Effectively promotes current technical capabilities and emerging/new technologies to facilitate generation and closing of new business opportunities.
  • Networks and builds trust-based relationships throughout target accounts from technical personnel to the executive level.
  • Works with marketing, account managers, and product development to develop strategies that ensure MyoSite's position as the leading solutions provider.
  • Establishes internal network with Commercial Development and SMEs.
  • Negotiates contracts with increasing autonomy.
  • Identifies market trends, assesses market potential, and develops strategies to grow market share using data from customer base/market and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Provides timely, industry-leading customer support and defines and interfaces with internal resources when necessary.
  • Understands the process from pre-clinical to clinical development.
  • Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across all levels of an organization (internal and external).
  • Achieves business objectives for assigned territory (for example, penetration of account with product/solution/service offerings).
  • Develops, builds, and cultivates long-term relationships with key management in the customer organization.
  • Assists management in devising sales plans and strategies, develops forecasts, budgets, and operating plans for product sales channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Science discipline or equivalent relevant work experience in Chemical synthesis, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
  • 3-5 years' experience in sales/business development or product development roles such as program management, CMC lead, or lead technologist for drug development candidates.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other general office equipment.
  • Basic understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and related regulations associated with Bio/Pharmaceutical product manufacturing.
  • Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with people.
