About the position

The Territory Sales Manager position at Westlake Careers focuses on expanding the volume and mix of building products in the Long Island, NY area. This role is designed for a professional who can act as a trusted partner to distributors, ensuring that sales, mix, and profitability targets are met within the assigned territory. The Territory Manager will represent a variety of products including Royal PVC, Kleer, Skytrim, Celect, Zuri, TruExterior, Cedar Renditions, Versetta Stone, and Wellcraft. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with existing customers and creating opportunities to increase market share within distribution channels. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will need to establish a heavy focus on dealer and contractor relationships to effectively pull business through to distributors. This involves analyzing the distribution needs of the territory and setting targets for additional distribution. A comprehensive understanding of product installation is essential, as the manager will assist distributors with training and customer service needs. The position also requires collaboration with the marketing department to provide insights and support for various programs. The Territory Sales Manager will conduct field visits to customers, prepare proposals and contracts, and maintain ongoing communication with dealers and distributors. This role demands a proactive approach to sales, including creating presentations, demonstrating products, and representing the company at trade shows. The ability to analyze sales statistics to determine potential and inventory requirements is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly establish strong relationships with all existing customers
  • Create opportunity and take additional share within distribution channels
  • Establish heavy focus on dealer & contractor relationships to ‘pull' business through to distributors
  • Analyze territory distribution needs and establish targets for additional distribution
  • Have full understanding of installation of all products to assist distributors in training and customer service needs
  • Participate in channel strategy for territory
  • Work closely with Marketing Department to provide information and support programs
  • Operate within expense budget parameters
  • Provide intelligence to marketing department
  • Actively participate in inter-company teams and work groups
  • Create presentations, demonstrate products and represent the company at trade shows
  • Maintain contact with dealers and distributors, analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements
  • Conduct field visits to customers and sell services
  • Increase sales for the Westlake Royal Building Product brands
  • Prepare proposals and contracts
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, follow-ups and proposals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years direct sales experience required; building product sales experience preferred
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, detail oriented
  • An enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skills
  • Requires a consultative mind-set, solution-oriented method of selling
  • Existing strong relationships within the dealer and/or distribution channel a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Teams and Outlook 365
  • Experience with Salesforce or other deal desk systems
