About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for enhancing customer relationships, increasing sales volume and profitability, and expanding the customer base within the Lubbock/Midland area. This role involves significant outside sales activities, requiring the manager to engage with clients directly to foster strong business relationships and drive sales growth. The position emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and wellness, while also contributing to the company's sustainability efforts through battery recycling programs.

Responsibilities

  • Improve customer relationships and grow profit margin and sales value with current customers.
  • Expand sales by obtaining and developing new customers within the assigned territory.
  • Support the development of the sales team and perform regular reporting for sales planning and analysis.
  • Prepare visual presentations, written quotations, and negotiate with clients.
  • Perform occasional deliveries to support customer relationships and manage consignments.
  • Maintain close business relationships with top clients and pursue preferred vendor status.
  • Generate leads, qualify them, and convert prospects to customers.
  • Track sales patterns and analyze data for changes in buying habits.
  • Educate customers on products and identify opportunities for expanding product use.

Requirements

  • 3 years of outside sales experience (Required)
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel (Required)
  • 2 years of experience with CRM software (Preferred)
  • 1 year of administrative experience (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the battery industry (1 year preferred)
