About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Material Handling Equipment is responsible for aggressively marketing and selling premium lift trucks and related services to existing and potential customers in the Dallas Metro Area. This role requires a strategic approach to grow the customer base and develop customer-centric solutions while collaborating with internal teams. The position emphasizes customer relationships, sales presentations, and the implementation of sales strategies to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for marketing, promoting, and profitably selling Premium Lift Trucks and related material handling equipment and service.
  • Deliver strategic plans to grow the customer base in the HTX Material Handling market area.
  • Work closely with internal contributors to implement and manage all sales aspects of New and Used Lift Trucks, Warehouse / Allied products and Service/Parts/Rental sales strategy.
  • Make personal sales calls at customer sites with a regular cadence.
  • Seek out prospective opportunities with new and existing contacts.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships to grow profitable sales.
  • Attend networking events to represent the company while prospecting.
  • Deliver sales and technical presentations to key clients.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals.
  • Prepare/Provide quoting, invoicing, purchasing agreements, etc. to customers.
  • Follow up on all generated quotations to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solutions.
  • Manage relationships with clients and promote proper fleet management practices.
  • Receive and handle website and phone leads.
  • Track sales prospects' data and status in CRM.
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for sales growth.
  • Assist in developing sales materials, quote templates to improve sales team efficiency.
  • Attend product training classes to develop superior product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or extensive related experience in a technical sales discipline highly preferred.
  • Previous work experience with Sales in the material handling industry sector or technical sales with a documented track record of successes and accomplishments.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think outside the box to offer new ideas, concepts, solutions etc.
  • A desire to build your career.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
