About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager for the MEP Channel at Diablo Tools, your primary responsibility will be to gain 100% market share within your assigned categories, channels, and markets. You will implement strategic approaches to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets. This role requires you to effectively develop programs and sales strategies for key dealers within your territory, focusing on converting, promoting, and consolidating key categories to Freud/Diablo. You will be expected to plan for growth while adhering to the travel and expense budget, ensuring that your strategies align with the company's overall objectives. In addition to sales responsibilities, you will have various administrative duties, including scheduling, placing orders, developing presentations, and creating suggested orders. These tasks are essential for fostering a collaborative approach to growing the territory's market share and sales volume. Building a sustainable territory to achieve the goals and metrics outlined by your manager will be a critical aspect of your role. You will also be required to travel overnight up to 10-12 days per month to meet customers and develop your territory effectively. This position is ideal for an extroverted, highly motivated, and driven sales professional with a minimum of 18 months of successful experience in the MEP channel. A basic knowledge of construction products and power tools is necessary, and while prior experience is valuable, Diablo Tools provides a world-class, hands-on sales and product training program for all candidates. Responsibilities

  • Build a sustainable territory to achieve assigned goals and metrics outlined by the manager.
  • Travel overnight up to 10-12 days per month to meet customers and develop the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing or 2+ years of field experience.
  • Ability to create sales strategy, processes, and approaches.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and practices.
  • Understanding of territory culture and market dynamics.
  • Proven effective communication skills with corporate staff, sales organization, and customers.
  • Basic product knowledge of power tools and accessories.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc).
