About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Mining Equipment at General Kinematics Corporation is a senior role focused on driving sales success and customer satisfaction within the mining sector. This position requires a strong background in mining operations and equipment solutions, with an emphasis on delivering innovative and sustainable products that meet industry demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve territory sales targets and expand market share within the mining industry.
  • Become an expert on the company's flagship STM-SERIES® vibratory screen.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mining customers, understanding their operations and equipment needs to offer customized solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of mining and technical directors to ensure competitive market positioning.
  • Using consultative selling skills develop value propositions for complex opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs, offering tailored solutions, and providing exceptional service.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Utilizing knowledge of the company's core products and understanding of the customer's business to develop customized, highly engineered proposals.
  • Partner with internal teams, including engineering, product management, and service departments, to ensure seamless delivery and support of equipment.
  • Prepare and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports to track performance and guide decision-making.
  • Travel frequently, representing the company at industry events and serving as an expert spokesperson.
  • Utilizing Salesforce, manage sales activities, pipeline health, and customer success.
  • Fully support the Company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the Achievers Employee Engagement tool.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in capital equipment, heavy machinery, or the mining industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close complex sales deals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
