About the position

The Territory Sales Manager, Municipal is responsible for expanding direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and territories. This role involves establishing professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and striving to meet sales targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars. The position requires extensive travel throughout the fiscal year, up to 60% of the time, and offers the flexibility of working from a home office while visiting customers and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Expand direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
  • Meet sales targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
  • Be the main point of contact for customers, consultant engineers, regulatory agencies, contractors, and representatives.
  • Manage system sizing, pricing, and commissions for all municipal systems.
  • Handle all purchase orders, sales targets, and tenders.
  • Identify trends or issues affecting the marketplace and take corrective action to achieve orders and bookings goals.
  • Maintain effective operational relationships with channel partners, agents, and OEMs within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a territory utilizing a CRM including planning, forecasting, managing, and implementing sales plans.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical and/or sales experience.
  • Capability to travel via car or plane within territory for significant portions of each fiscal year.
