About the position

The Territory Sales Manager, Municipal is responsible for expanding direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and territories. This role involves establishing professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and striving to meet sales targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars. The position requires extensive travel throughout the fiscal year, up to 60% of the time, and allows for remote work from a home office while visiting customers and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for Customers, Consultant Engineers, Regulatory Agencies, Contractors and Representatives.
  • Be responsible for system sizing, pricing and commissions for all municipal systems.
  • Be responsible for all purchase orders, sales targets, tenders.
  • Identify any trends or issues that could affect the marketplace, while taking corrective action to achieve orders, bookings & funnel health goals.
  • Establish and maintain effective day to day operational relationships with channel partners, agents, OEM's within the assigned territory.
  • Work from your home office while traveling to visit customers, regulatory bodies, contractors, etc.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a territory utilizing a CRM including planning, forecasting, managing and implementing sales plans.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Technical and/or Sales experience.
  • Capability to travel via car or plane within territory for significant portions of each fiscal year.

  • Experience working with municipal partners or with the water industry.
