About the position

The Territory Sales Manager, Municipal is responsible for expanding direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and territories in the Southeast US. This role involves establishing professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts, meeting sales targets, and managing various sales-related activities. The position requires extensive travel, up to 60% of the time, and offers the flexibility of working from a home office while visiting customers and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Expand direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
  • Meet sales targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
  • Manage system sizing, pricing, and commissions for all municipal systems.
  • Handle all purchase orders, sales targets, and tenders.
  • Identify trends or issues affecting the marketplace and take corrective action.
  • Maintain effective operational relationships with channel partners, agents, and OEMs.
  • Travel to visit customers, regulatory bodies, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Technical and/or Sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a territory utilizing a CRM.
  • Capability to travel via car or plane within territory for significant portions of each fiscal year.
