About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving outreach efforts to educate healthcare providers about the company's EEG, EKG, and testing services. This role focuses on building relationships with local physicians, maximizing patient referrals, and achieving sales targets while adhering to the company's compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily face-to-face interactions with doctors and staff to educate them on the company's services.
  • Research physicians and their practices to understand patient demographics and identify opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers using significant product and disease state knowledge.
  • Gather feedback from physician customers and relay it to company stakeholders for product development.
  • Report all activities through the appropriate CRM system.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Master medical terminology, sales practices, and business acumen for meetings with physicians.
  • Stay current with company communications through various technologies.
  • Adhere to compliance culture and seek guidance when needed.
  • Communicate issues related to patient records or deficiencies to arrange testing.
  • Manage scheduling issues with physicians, including cancellations or refusals of service.
  • Act as the main point of contact for physicians regarding administrative, contractual, or patient-related matters.
  • Manage the allocated budget and follow company policy on expenses and reporting.
  • Foster a team atmosphere with clinical operations staff.
  • Build brand recognition and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, company confidentiality, and code of conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Sales, business administration, or a related health sciences field.
  • 5+ years of sales/new business development experience in a hospital/clinic environment preferred.
  • Possess a good network of physician and hospital relationships, particularly in neurology.
  • Ability to communicate with and educate high-level executives, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and building professional relationships.
  • Familiarity with the payor/insurance environment, including CPT codes and insurance billing.
  • Ability to work comfortably with all levels of the physician office and/or hospital environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience partnering with hospitals and neurology practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
