The Territory Sales Manager-National Retail will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while also focusing on growth within the region. The ideal candidate will possess a "HUNTER" mentality, demonstrating a strong drive to expand relationships and identify new revenue streams. This role requires comfort in engaging with national retailers, previous customers, and finding new business opportunities while supporting established clients. Relationship building is paramount in this position, which offers a solid base salary complemented by a commission structure. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will identify new sales opportunities with both new and existing customers, focusing on selling program business. The manager will maximize sales efforts by concentrating on the largest and most profitable opportunities, which may involve segmenting the account list. The position also entails improving profitability, product penetration, and product mix with all customers. The manager will qualify sales opportunities through market and customer research, collaborating with inside sales representatives to develop sales solutions and competitive pricing strategies. Communicating the value proposition to customers and proposing sales solutions will be essential, as will closing sales opportunities by gaining purchase orders and executing all order fulfillment procedures. Outstanding customer service and post-sales satisfaction are critical for facilitating long-term relationships and repeat business with customers.
