About the position

The Territory Sales Manager will play a vital role in the Wholesale division, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with Dealer customers in the New York City Metro Area. This position involves prospecting new business, analyzing sales data, and coaching customers to achieve optimal business results while ensuring compliance with company standards. The role emphasizes proactive engagement with customers to foster long-term partnerships and drive profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive business relationships.
  • Solicit new business for supply contracts with service station dealers and negotiate long-term agreements.
  • Monitor and coach dealers on pricing and competition awareness.
  • Counsel customers on retail pricing to maximize business results.
  • Handle general customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of volume, competition, and dealer offers to maximize profitability.
  • Work with dispatch to resolve delivery issues and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Manage dealer documentation and franchise agreements.
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with signage and point of sale materials.
  • Collaborate with the credit team to set up and maintain accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge preferred.
  • 3 years of site-level or marketing business operations experience.
  • Ability to solicit new business relationships with Dealer customers.
  • Strong coaching skills to help customers effectively price their products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to develop strategy and budget.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
