About the position

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC is seeking a Territory Sales Manager for the Northwest United States, specifically covering Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, and Western Canada. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of Miller Work Truck Solutions, which are recognized for their reliability and return on investment. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with OEM and local upfitter partners, developing strategic account plans, and promoting sales growth through effective product advocacy and market understanding. You will also coordinate training for upfitters, collaborate with the marketing team for inclusive campaigns, and represent Miller at industry events. This position requires a proactive approach to managing a continuous pipeline of sales opportunities and effective communication with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to fostering inclusivity in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships with OEM and local upfitter partners to advocate for Work Truck Solutions.
  • Develop and execute targeted account plans for both upfitters and end users.
  • Implement territory and account plans to aggressively grow Work Truck Solution sales and market share.
  • Promote product trials and demonstrations to support conversions and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Understand and address unique drivers and pain points within target markets.
  • Coordinate upfitter training needs, ensuring inclusivity in product knowledge and service.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure inclusive campaigns and promotional planning.
  • Act as the face of Miller Work Truck Solutions at industry tradeshows and customer events.
  • Serve as a divisional liaison to assist in new product development, ensuring diverse perspectives are considered.
  • Manage a continuous pipeline of sales opportunities through prospecting and tracking progress.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Business Discipline required.
  • Proven track record of developing positive and inclusive customer relationships.
  • Challenger and positive mindset, capable of educating end-users with sensitivity to diverse perspectives.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with an appreciation for diversity.
  • Disciplined, self-motivated, and a team player in an independent environment.
  • Strong consultative and value-selling skills with the ability to convert new business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Industry knowledge of construction, heavy equipment, work truck, and/or equipment rental marketplace.
  • Good technical aptitude relative to tools and equipment used on a worksite.
