About the position

The Territory Sales Manager - Off Premise will be responsible for in-account field level execution with excellence and provide channel expertise. This role requires strong communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to deliver brand education to accounts. The Territory Sales Manager will manage resources, including point-of-sale materials and local budgets, while supporting consumer events and driving brand visibility for the MJUS brand portfolio in the off-premise sector. A strong passion for the off-premise market is essential for success in this role, which involves being in the market 80-95% of the time, averaging five days a week in the field with two administrative days per month. In terms of responsibilities, the Territory Sales Manager will develop local commercial solutions to improve brand execution and image in the market. This includes ensuring proper distribution of MJUS brands by type and size, implementing merchandising programs, managing shelf positions, and executing drink features and promotions. The role also involves building the Jägermeister and Teremana business in the market according to channel and brand standards, contributing new ideas and solutions for distributors and retailers, and maintaining visible, ongoing relationships with key accounts. The Territory Sales Manager will strategically grow sales volume in designated market areas, identify key accounts and opinion leaders, conduct staff trainings and tastings, and capitalize on local trends to inspire future programming. Additionally, the role requires the execution of Jägermeister brand standards and defined drink strategies while being flexible to account needs. The position also involves utilizing analytical tools to track and monitor point-of-sale effectiveness and the return on investment of major events and consumer development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop local commercial solutions to improve brand execution and image in the market.
  • Ensure excellent retail execution is achieved in key accounts.
  • Build Jägermeister and Teremana business in the market according to channel and brand standards.
  • Contribute new ideas and solutions for distributors and retailers in the territory.
  • Maintain visible, ongoing relationships with accounts.
  • Strategically grow sales volume in key designated market areas.
  • Identify key accounts, opinion leaders, and influencers within the channel.
  • Conduct staff trainings and tastings in accounts.
  • Capitalize on local trends within the designated market to inspire future programming.
  • Execute Jägermeister brand standards centered around a perfect ice cold shot in accounts.
  • Utilize tools to analyze ROI and understand the business effectiveness.
  • Track and monitor Point-Of-Sale effectiveness.
  • Set the example and motivate local distributor network to execute brand and channel priorities.
  • Own relationships with local distributors at the account level.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience in Sales or Marketing, preferably in the spirits and/or beverage industry, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong relationship building skills and collaborative spirit.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Proven success in formulating account strategies and executing against them to drive results.
  • Willingness to learn selling the Jägermeister way.
  • Detail oriented and organized; excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and support numerous projects.
  • Well-developed influence and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
  • Frequent travel within territory required; must have valid driver's license and vehicle for travel between accounts within assigned territory.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
