About the position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for new customer acquisition within their assigned territory, focusing on independent local dealers. This role involves leading sales efforts, meeting established KPIs, and developing tailored sales strategies to grow the dealer base. The TSM will coordinate with Inside Sales Specialists and the Dealer Development Manager to ensure success and efficiency in sales operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new profitable customers within the assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed established KPIs and sales production goals.
  • Develop a sales plan in partnership with the MGM and Inside Sales Specialist.
  • Provide feedback to Inside Sales Specialists to enhance efficiency and success.
  • Utilize insights-based sales approaches tailored to potential new dealers.
  • Document customer interactions in CRM tools, ensuring accurate representation of sales activity.
  • Share best practices with peers in the TSM community.
  • Partner with the Dealer Development Manager for ongoing education and support of dealers.

Requirements

  • Business to business sales experience is preferred.
  • Automotive experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer and results driven mindset.
  • Concise and professional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Concur, Workday, and Tableau is desired.
  • Challenger Sales Training preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.
