About the position

The Territory Sales Manager position at Auto Wares involves managing outside sales within a designated geographic region, focusing on building and maintaining customer relationships with automotive repair businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting new customers, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting company programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate customer relations within a geographic region.
• Make sales calls to various automotive repair businesses.
• Prospect new customers while maintaining current customer relationships.
• Increase sales through exceptional customer service.
• Maintain communications with Store Manager, District Manager, and Sales Manager on all commercial accounts.
• Pursue new line additions and changeovers.
• Prospect for new store accounts and grow account base.
• Keep management informed of competition and share best practices.
• Conduct online ordering presentations and maintain stock lists.
• Train less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Related sales experience in the auto parts business.
• Thorough knowledge of sales approaches in the automotive industry.
• Valid Driver's License with no major violations.
• No more than two moving violations in the past 3 years (if over 25) or 5 years (if under 25).
• No more than one at-fault accident.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
