About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for the Pacific Northwest is responsible for selling products for Western Window Systems to existing and prospective customers. This role involves maintaining and growing the sales territory, compiling sales leads, and traveling throughout the assigned territory to solicit orders. The position requires strong customer relations skills and the ability to resolve customer issues effectively while ensuring product functionality and compliance with building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and grows sales territory following guidelines set by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from various sources.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
  • Displays or demonstrates products using samples or catalogs, emphasizing salable features.
  • Advises customers on proper installation techniques to ensure product functionality and code compliance.
  • Evaluates customer complaints and resolves them appropriately.
  • Participates in forecasting sales for the assigned territory using Microsoft Excel and CRM.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimates delivery dates to customers based on production and delivery schedules.
  • Works with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • Participates in local Building Association meetings and trade shows to display products.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with various departments to manage customer experience from sales to installation.
  • Assists Credit/Collections and Customer Service Departments to resolve problems with dealers.
  • Enters new customer data and sales data into CRM and Microsoft Excel.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Assists Marketing in administering promotions and sales support to customers.
  • Enters dealer sales calls daily in the Voice of the Rep.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PGT products, processes, and customer relations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of building codes and their impact on fenestration/room enclosures.
