Heartland, a Global Payments Company, is seeking a dedicated sales professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling our merchant services offerings to businesses, which includes a variety of activities such as pricing, customer segmentation, customer presentations, account sign-up and activation, and account management. The position primarily involves field sales to area businesses, although some business may be conducted over the phone depending on the scale of operations. As a key member of our sales team, you will manage a portfolio of clients, identifying revenue opportunities and prospective clients within your assigned territories. This will involve conducting face-to-face meetings with prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify leads, and drive them through the sales pipeline. You will be responsible for ensuring thorough suspect identification, planning, account qualification, and needs analysis at all prospect levels. Additionally, you will respond to customer requests for information and deliver online presentations to showcase our offerings. Your role will also include identifying and closing additional product and service sales with existing clients to further develop those relationships. You will manage client expectations throughout the sales cycle and maintain accurate records of existing and prospective clients in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, currently utilizing SalesForce.com. Keeping management informed of all activities through timely report preparation is essential. Continuous development of your knowledge regarding our current product and service portfolio, as well as changes within the payments industry, will be crucial to your success in this role.
