About the position

The Sales Representative at Heartland is responsible for selling Payroll/HCM offerings to businesses, focusing on managing a portfolio of clients and identifying revenue opportunities. This role involves face-to-face meetings, account management, and maintaining client relationships while ensuring effective communication and presentation of services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients for the company.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories through various activities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond to customer requests for information and conduct online presentations.
  • Identify and close additional product and/or service sales with existing clients.
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in the CRM system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
  • Keep management informed of all activity through timely report preparation.
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $90,000-110,000
  • Minimum wage guarantee of $11.25 per hour for all hours worked
  • Commission compensation model.
