About the position

The Sales Representative at Heartland is responsible for selling payroll offerings to businesses, managing a portfolio of clients, and identifying revenue opportunities within assigned territories. This role involves face-to-face meetings, account management, and maintaining client relationships while ensuring effective communication and presentation of services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients for the company.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories through various activities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond to customer requests for information and deliver online presentations.
  • Identify and close additional product and/or service sales with existing clients.
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in the CRM system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
  • Keep management informed of all activity through timely report preparation.
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience (no degree specified).
  • Typically a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • B2B sales experience.
  • Cold calling sales experience.
  • Demonstrated successful performance in previous sales roles.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $90,000-110,000 with additional commission compensation.
  • Guaranteed minimum wage of $14.32 per hour for all hours worked.
