About the position

The Sales Representative at Heartland is responsible for selling merchant services to businesses, managing a portfolio of clients, and identifying revenue opportunities. This role involves face-to-face meetings, account management, and maintaining client relationships while ensuring effective communication and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients for the company.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond to customer requests for information and give online presentations.
  • Identify and close additional product and/or service sales with existing clients.
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in the CRM system; currently SalesForce.com.
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience (no degree specified).
  • Typically a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
