About the position

Heartland, a Global Payments Company, is responsible for selling merchant services offerings to businesses. The role involves pricing, customer segmentation, customer presentations, account sign-up and activation, and account management. Primarily focused on field sales to area businesses, some business may also be conducted over the phone. The position requires managing a portfolio of clients, identifying revenue opportunities, and conducting face-to-face meetings with prospects to drive leads through the sales pipeline. Additionally, the role includes maintaining client records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, keeping management informed of all activities, and continuously building knowledge of the current product/service portfolio and industry developments.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of clients for the company.
  • Identifies revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories through various activities.
  • Conducts face-to-face meetings with prospects to identify appropriate contacts and qualify leads.
  • Ensures suspect identification, planning, account qualification, and needs analysis at all prospect levels.
  • Responds to customer requests for information and gives online presentations.
  • Identifies and closes additional product and/or service sales with existing clients.
  • Maintains existing/prospective client records in the CRM system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
  • Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Continuously builds and develops knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Experience
