As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling merchant services offerings to businesses. Your activities will include pricing, customer segmentation, customer presentations, account sign-up and activation, and account management. This role primarily involves field sales to area businesses, although some business may be conducted over the phone depending on the scale of operations. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients for the company, identifying revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories through face-to-face meetings, telephone communications, marketing programs, and other activities as needed. You will conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify leads, and drive them through the sales pipeline. Additionally, you will respond to customer requests for information and give online presentations, ensuring that you identify and close additional product and/or service sales with existing clients to further develop the client relationship. You will also be responsible for maintaining existing and prospective client records in accordance with company policies, including call notes, scheduled client interactions, contact information, and other relevant client information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, currently SalesForce.com. Keeping management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports, is also a key part of your responsibilities. Continuous development of knowledge regarding the current product/service portfolio and changes within the payments industry will be essential to remain up-to-date and effective in your role.
