About the position

The Sales Representative at Heartland is responsible for selling Payroll/HCM offerings to businesses, managing a portfolio of clients, and identifying revenue opportunities within assigned territories. This role involves face-to-face meetings, customer presentations, account management, and maintaining client records in the CRM system. The Sales Representative will also ensure effective communication with clients and management while staying updated on industry developments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients for the company.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and prospective clients within assigned territories through various activities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond to customer requests for information and conduct online presentations.
  • Identify and close additional product and/or service sales with existing clients.
  • Maintain existing/prospective client records in the CRM system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
  • Keep management informed of all activity through timely report preparation.
  • Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience (no degree specified).
  • Typically a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated successful performance in previous sales jobs.

Benefits

  • Compensation range of $90,000-110,000.
  • Guaranteed minimum wage of $11.25 per hour for all hours worked.
