About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Payroll/HCM at Heartland is responsible for selling merchant services offerings to businesses within assigned territories. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, identifying revenue opportunities, conducting face-to-face meetings, and maintaining client relationships throughout the sales cycle. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, utilizing both in-person and telecommunication methods to drive leads and close sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and identify revenue opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to qualify leads and drive them through the sales pipeline.
  • Respond to customer requests for information and deliver online presentations.
  • Identify and close additional product and service sales with existing clients to enhance client relationships.
  • Maintain accurate client records in the CRM system, including call notes and scheduled interactions.
  • Keep management informed of all sales activities through timely report preparation.
  • Continuously build knowledge of current product/service offerings and industry developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales or related field
  • Expert knowledge of the merchant payment industry
