About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for PUMA Golf is responsible for managing the sales operations within the Chicago, IL territory. This role focuses on building strong relationships with golf accounts, providing exceptional service and technical expertise, and achieving sales volume and distribution targets. The position requires extensive travel to various retail and national account locations, ensuring effective product presentations and training to drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PUMA Golf brand within the Chicago, IL territory.
  • Travel extensively throughout the designated territory to call on all golf accounts.
  • Provide high-level service and technical expertise from sell-in to sell-through.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with accounts and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage all aspects of the business for the wholesale account list, including product presentations and trainings.
  • Achieve annual sales volume and channel distribution targets for the territory.
  • Provide weekly account updates and sales tracking to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Service National Account locations such as Golf Galaxy and Dick's Sporting Goods.
  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to identify sales opportunities.
  • Provide product and brand training throughout the territory.
  • Proactively manage the order book with the Sales Support Rep.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in an outside sales role, preferably in the golf industry.
  • 3+ years experience buying or selling apparel and footwear.
  • 5+ years experience in a customer service and/or sales-facing position.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Footwear and Apparel.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI).
  • High level of energy and professionalism.
  • Exceptional follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales practices.
  • Ability to grasp, learn, and communicate complex concepts quickly and independently.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and make recommendations on potential solutions.
  • Ability to convincingly present product and brand using PowerPoint and spreadsheet software tools.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work against business deadlines.
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and/or priorities.
  • Ability to successfully complete tasks within required deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to travel is required.
