About the position

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and building relationships within the construction industry, specifically focusing on security solutions for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction sales, particularly in selling doors, frames, and hardware, and involves working closely with general contractors and key decision-makers to deliver comprehensive security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, end users, and key decision-makers in the territory.
  • Understand and navigate building codes and specifications, particularly Division 8 (openings/entrances), Division 28 (electronic safety & security), Division 10 (specialty products), and Division 6 (millwork).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate opportunities and bids, selecting projects that align with their consultative approach.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for projects, providing expert guidance and building trust with clients.
  • Identify and target prospective clients within multifamily dwelling, Department of Defense, senior living, hospitality, and commercial spaces.
  • Deliver 'Total Security Solutions' through consultative sales, thinking creatively to meet client needs.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in construction sales.
  • Strong background in selling doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Project management experience.
  • Senior level negotiation skills.
  • Experience with construction estimating.
