About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for implementing innovative sales strategies to position Clow Valve as the leading choice in the water works industry across Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho. This role focuses on building relationships, generating demand, and expanding the territory through proactive sales efforts and effective communication with distributors.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the face of Clow Valve by establishing links and crafting opportunities to increase distributor knowledge of Clow products.
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences to engage with the community and promote Clow Valve products.
  • Champion distributor relations through on-site visits, demos, and CEU training to boost sales.
  • Respond to field service and troubleshooting requests to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate market intelligence to assess pricing levels and ensure market success.
  • Communicate and influence current and prospective distributors to schedule meetings, demos, and trainings.
  • Develop innovative solutions by breaking down specifications and providing distributors with alternatives.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and products to serve as a resource for distributors.
  • Recommend new products and services to the National Sales Manager and Engineering Department.
  • Manage paperwork, including invoices and reports, ensuring timely submission of expenses and bids.
  • Coordinate customer requests through clear communication with Clow team members and departments.
  • Act as an accountability partner for distributors and internal staff to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Pursue personal development through practice, role-playing, and seeking coaching to improve sales efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred.
  • Five years of sales experience or ten years of face-to-face sales in the industry required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective public speaking skills for large groups.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects above head with minimal assistance.
  • Knowledge of mobile devices and basic assembly tools, with the ability to read and understand assembly procedures.
