About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) - Residential at Simpson Strong-Tie, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the residential market within the Santa Rosa, CA area. This role involves coordinating with various teams to develop and execute business strategies, managing Dealer Sales Representatives, and providing training and support to ensure customer satisfaction. You will engage directly with customers, analyze market needs, and promote Simpson's product lines to enhance business profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Drive demand and grow sales of all Simpson product lines in the defined marketplace, including active engagement on jobsites and conducting sales calls.
  • Coach, train, and manage the professional development of the Dealer Sales Representatives, providing oversight and maintaining performance through goal settings.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with customers and manage supply chain relationships with channel partners, providing ongoing training and technical support.
  • Promote Simpson Strong-Tie as an industry partner by participating in trade shows and providing educational opportunities in classroom settings throughout the territory.
  • Perform other duties including CRM management, business planning, and assisting in the hiring process of Dealer Sales Representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience and/or training in sales and account management.
  • Strong working knowledge of residential construction practices and distribution channels.
  • 2-3 years of management experience with a proven track record of leading direct reports and employee development.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, and other industry standard software packages.
