About the position

Waste Connections is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join their team in Acworth, GA. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding current accounts while identifying new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be innovative, proactive, and capable of driving results in a competitive sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and retain current accounts and identify opportunities for increased business in existing accounts.
  • Develop a list of prospective accounts and key contacts.
  • Target large volume opportunities within designated geographic areas.
  • Maintain and update CRM tools (Salesforce/ARES) for future follow-up.
  • Maintain sales pipeline to achieve goals for new/gross sales monthly.
  • Prepare complex proposals to existing and potential clients using in-depth industry and company knowledge.
  • Make recommendations on equipment optimization and leasing options.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years direct sales or business development experience with proven results.
  • Experience with professional presentations and excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Experience in Business to Business selling, Contract Selling, and Sales Negotiation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM tools is a plus.
  • Good numeracy skills to estimate pricing and calculate margins.
