About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Hubbell Incorporated is primarily responsible for driving sales of the entire Hubbell Commercial and Industrial product portfolio to distributors, end users, and electrical contractors within a specified geographic territory, which includes Utah and Idaho. This role is crucial for the growth of Hubbell's Commercial and Industrial business, as it involves working closely with Engineers and Consultants to further the specifications of the products offered. The Territory Sales Manager must possess a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to effectively articulate the features, advantages, and benefits of Hubbell's diverse product lines. In this position, the Territory Sales Manager will travel throughout the assigned territory to educate distributors, contractors, and end users about the Hubbell Commercial and Industrial product offerings. It is essential for the manager to be aware of market conditions and the competitive environment, identifying growth and acquisition opportunities, and reporting findings to their manager. A strong focus on driving new product growth is necessary, which includes creating awareness and excitement for new products as they are developed. The role requires maintaining a high level of technical knowledge and being proactive in requesting additional training from engineering or product management as needed. The Territory Sales Manager will also be responsible for completing assigned reports in a timely manner, monitoring expenses in accordance with corporate policy, and ensuring that they meet or exceed sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis. Representing the organization at a high level while adhering to Hubbell's core values and ethical standards is paramount. Additionally, the manager will be expected to update all project opportunities and conversion possibilities in Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of the entire Hubbell Commercial and Industrial product portfolio to distributors, end users, and electrical contractors in the specified territory.
  • Work with Engineers and Consultants to further the specifications of Hubbell products.
  • Educate distributors, contractors, and end users on the Hubbell product offerings through travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Understand market conditions and the competitive environment to identify growth and acquisition opportunities.
  • Create awareness and excitement for new products as they are developed to drive new product growth.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and request additional training as needed.
  • Complete assigned reports in a timely manner and monitor expenses in line with corporate policy.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Represent the organization at a high level and adhere to Hubbell's core values and ethical standards.
  • Update all project opportunities and conversion possibilities in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Teams, Power BI, and Salesforce.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
