About the position

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to support our lines of business in Arizona and New Mexico. This role is pivotal in servicing existing customers and developing new prospects to increase sales of Pebble Technology International's (PTI) products. The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will be responsible for enhancing the company's presence in the swimming pool industry within the assigned sales region. This involves building strong and lasting customer relationships, leveraging extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish sales goals effectively. The Territory Sales Manager will drive sales coverage and penetration expansion through proven selling strategies and skills. The expectations include executing sales initiatives that align with the business strategy, meeting sales objectives such as total sales revenue, price targets, and market share growth objectives. Building strong relationships with applicators in the region is essential, as is acting as a liaison between applicators and pool builders. The role requires maintaining detailed and current contact notes in the database, including contact dates, correspondence, opportunities, and concerns. To stay competitive, the Territory Sales Manager will need to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies as approved by management. The role also involves performing professional presentations and demonstrations of company products and services on-site, actively managing a call schedule to cover the assigned territory efficiently, and penetrating all targeted accounts to radiate sales from within the client base. Generating and developing new customer accounts through cold calling, if necessary, is also a key responsibility, along with building and maintaining awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and conducting other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales initiatives that support the business strategy; expectations are to meet sales objectives (including total sales revenue, price targets, and market share growth objectives)
  • Build strong relationships with the applicators within region
  • Liaison between applicators and pool builders
  • Keep detailed and current contact notes in database to include; contact dates, correspondence, opportunities, and concerns
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, as approved by management
  • Perform professional presentations and/or demonstrations of company products and services while on-site
  • Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue by cold calling, if necessary
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing, or Project Management within the construction industry and/or pool industry
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
  • Demonstrated ability to use relevant software programs, (e.g., MS Office, Salesforce, Miva)
  • Proven expertise in demonstrating formal presentation skills (e.g., experience leading training sessions, conducting product demonstrations, etc.)
  • Proven experience in price negotiation/costing as well as competitive analysis
  • Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational skills & exceptional follow-up detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
