About the position

As a Territory Sales Manager at Springs Window Fashions, you will play a crucial role in driving business development and managing a portfolio of business within your assigned territory, specifically in the South Bay, CA area. This position is integral to the success of our company, which has been a leader in the window treatments industry since 1939. You will be responsible for generating revenue through the profitable sales of our flagship brand, Graber, while building and maintaining strong relationships with our independent dealer network. Your passion for sales and ability to influence brand preference will be key to your success in this role. In this dynamic position, you will spend approximately 65% of your time calling on window covering dealers and sales consultants, adding value to their businesses, and ultimately increasing their preference for Springs' products. You will facilitate dealer presentations and quarterly business reviews, providing training on new products to boost adoption. Additionally, you will need to be comfortable presenting and articulating the benefits of our products compared to the competition. Your role will also involve identifying new business opportunities by calling on potential new dealers within your territory. The remaining responsibilities include understanding the market landscape and developing strategies for territory development (20%), handling dealer problem resolution with diplomacy and tact (5%), maintaining accurate records and reporting expenses (5%), and attending training sessions and sales meetings to expand your product knowledge (5%). Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Experience selling custom products and/or industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent sales personality - even tempered, passionate, sincere, outgoing, and friendly.
  • Basic understanding of human behavior and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly by car and occasionally by commercial airline.
  • Good analytical and mathematical ability with strong organizational skills.
  • Good driving record, as a company vehicle will be provided.
  • Creative selling skills with innovative ideas to meet customer needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
