Dixie Chopper, a member of Alamo Group Inc., is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to oversee the Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana regions. This field-based position requires the candidate to reside within the assigned territory, ensuring close proximity to agricultural customers and dealers. The Territory Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving the company's profitability, inventory turnover, return on investment (ROI), and cost control. Under moderate supervision, the manager will solicit orders for company products, leveraging their knowledge of the products to engage with customers effectively. This includes compiling lists of prospective customers, traveling throughout the territory to meet with dealers, and demonstrating product features to potential buyers. The role also involves quoting prices, preparing sales contracts, and maintaining accurate reports of business transactions and expenses. The Territory Sales Manager is expected to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual growth goals set by the company. This includes executing marketing programs, maintaining positive relationships with existing dealer accounts, and actively participating in the development of sales territory planning and forecasts. The manager will conduct dealer education and training sessions, attend trade shows and sales meetings, and provide customers with shipping estimates while coordinating deliveries. Additionally, the role requires the manager to assess the creditworthiness of delinquent accounts, audit company inventory, and control inventory levels within the territory. Keeping up-to-date records and submitting timely reports on territory operations and competitive conditions are also essential responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. They should be able to prioritize their work, meet objectives under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision. A valid driving record is essential, as extensive travel is required, with a minimum of two nights away from home each week. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in marketing or sales, along with previous field or territory sales experience, particularly in agriculture or industrial equipment sales.
