About the position

The Territory Sales Manager - Specialty will serve as the primary representative of Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) in the Indianapolis, IN territory, focusing on achieving sales objectives and expanding market share. This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who can build strong relationships with customers while leveraging clinical expertise and market knowledge to drive sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Indianapolis, IN territory.
• Establish deep and meaningful business relationships based on clinical and market dynamic expertise.
• Increase market share by closing new business in both new and existing accounts prioritized on market potential.
• Support sales results with clinical expertise and understanding of the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Assess and analyze product/competitor trends and market dynamics.
• Collaborate and communicate constructively with team members.
• Travel throughout the territory, including overnight stays and occasional weekend meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience required.
• Demonstrated mastery of product and disease state knowledge.
• Proven track record of top-ranked sales performance, ideally in the top 25% of the nation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working within Urology.
• Experience with a pharmaceutical launch.
• Knowledge of market access formulary positioning, including pull-through and push-through.
