About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at High Steel Service Center is responsible for managing sales activities and driving profitable growth within a designated territory. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with various teams to achieve sales goals for Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Carbon Steel products. The position requires a proactive approach to business development and effective communication skills to support marketing efforts and resolve customer issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities and profitable growth of the territory.
  • Identify new potential customers and develop business relationships.
  • Spend the majority of time meeting face-to-face with existing and potential customers.
  • Support product management marketing efforts to achieve territory goals for volume, margin, and profit.
  • Handle contract management and administration at the customer level.
  • Support sourcing and production planning with the Supply Chain team.
  • Resolve quality-related issues in coordination with the Operations team.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in business or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of the metals industry preferred, but not required.
  • Assertive and determined personality, naturally inclined to sales.
  • Demonstrated business-to-business sales success.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Reputation of high character and integrity.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Computer and technical skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel and ERP software (SAP a plus).
