About the position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at Royal Truck & Equipment, LLC is a pivotal role responsible for managing and directing sales efforts within the assigned geographical area, specifically targeting Texas and the Western United States, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, and California. The TSM operates under minimal supervision and is tasked with maximizing sales of the company's products while adhering to corporate policies and the established sales and marketing plan. This position requires a proactive approach to service existing sales accounts, prospect for new opportunities, and generate new business within the assigned territory. The TSM is expected to meet sales and profit goals, which necessitates a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. In addition to sales responsibilities, the TSM will prepare sales forecasts to assist in planning and controlling customer inventories. Maintaining thorough documentation of sales contracts, opportunities, and proposals is essential, in line with the company's records retention policy. The role also involves conducting “voice of the customer” research to recommend new products and enhancements, staying informed about industry trends, competitive products, and technical developments that impact target markets. The TSM will maintain daily communication with the Director of Sales or Regional Sales Manager and submit weekly sales reports to track progress and performance. The TSM is also responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional corporate image in all communications and activities. This includes planning, organizing, and attending product demonstrations, trade shows, and sales meetings as required by the company. Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and the code of business ethics is mandatory, ensuring that the TSM represents the company positively in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Service existing sales accounts and prospect for new opportunities within assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
