About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Vence, a subsidiary of Merck Animal Health, is responsible for driving sales growth of virtual fencing technology across ranches in the Western U.S., specifically in Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and the Four Corners region. This role involves engaging with ranchers, government entities, and NGOs to promote the benefits of virtual fencing, optimize grazing resources, and improve conservation outcomes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing sales strategies, proposals, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the ranching community.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities suitable for Virtual Fencing technology.
  • Develop sales proposals and implement contractual agreements.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to reach the intended customer base.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence to management and marketing colleagues.
  • Coordinate with the Rancher Success Team to transition new customers successfully.
  • Provide feedback and content to the Marketing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with the ranching community.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the beef industry and cattle grazing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Motivated and focused on achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to build internal relationships and work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
  • Skills in planning, organization, communication, selling, and business acumen.
