About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Virtual Fencing Technology at Merck Sharp & Dohme is a vital role within the field sales team, focusing on promoting and selling innovative virtual fencing solutions to ranches and related entities in the Western U.S. This position is crucial for driving sales growth and enhancing the adoption of Vence's offerings, which aim to optimize grazing resources and improve conservation outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities suitable for Virtual Fencing technology.
  • Develop sales proposals and implement contractual agreements.
  • Create and execute sales strategies and tactics to engage the target customer base.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence to management and marketing teams.
  • Coordinate with the Rancher Success Team to transition new customers successfully.
  • Provide feedback and content to the Marketing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with the ranching community.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the beef industry and cattle grazing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Motivated and focused on achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to build internal relationships and work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
  • Skills in planning, organization, communication, selling, and business acumen.
