About the position

The Territory Sales Manager for Vence, a subsidiary of Merck Animal Health, is a vital member of the field sales team responsible for driving the adoption of virtual fencing technology among ranches in the Western U.S. This role involves engaging with ranchers, government entities, and NGOs to enhance grazing management and conservation outcomes. The successful candidate will develop sales strategies, proposals, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities suitable for Virtual Fencing technology.
  • Develop sales proposals and implement contractual agreements.
  • Create and implement sales strategies and tactics to reach the intended customer base.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence to management and marketing teams.
  • Coordinate with the Rancher Success Team to transition new customers successfully.
  • Provide feedback and content to the Marketing organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with the ranching community.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the beef industry and cattle grazing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Motivated and focused on achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to build internal relationships and work collaboratively in a matrix organization.
  • Skills in planning, organization, communication, selling, and business acumen.
