About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for promoting and selling Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems products to electrical contractors and industrial facilities through distributor partners. This role involves managing existing business, developing new opportunities, and building strong relationships within the assigned territory, which includes West Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, and a portion of Arkansas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the assigned territory's existing business and new opportunities to achieve or exceed sales objectives.
  • Conduct sales calls to contractors, EPCs, industrial facilities, and distributors to promote Hubbell products.
  • Schedule and perform product demonstrations at contractor and industrial locations.
  • Produce budgetary project estimations and formal proposals for distributors.
  • Provide expert service to end-users and distributors to develop strong territory relationships.
  • Interact with clients at various events, including presentations and trade shows.
  • Communicate effectively using preferred methods of contact.
  • Train distributor personnel on selling and promoting Hubbell products.
  • Manage distributor stock levels to maximize inventory turns.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and Concur.
  • Complete personal sales training as directed by management.
  • Notify the District Sales Manager of obstacles and sales opportunities.
  • Cover open territories as assigned by the District Sales Manager.
  • Forward appropriate literature and technical details to customers.

Requirements

  • A college degree and three or more years of related electrical product sales experience, or a High School diploma with ten or more years of related experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Electrical product sales experience is required, with a preference for experience selling to electrical contractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and excellent presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing distributor relationships.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Concur.
