About the position

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the sales and promotion of Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems products through Distribution to end-users and specifying influences, with a strong emphasis on achieving assigned sales quotas within the designated territory. This position is particularly focused on building and maintaining contractor relationships and driving sales in the Southwest region, specifically in Dallas and Fort Worth, TX. The role requires effective management of the assigned territory to ensure the efficient and economical use of time and company resources to meet sales objectives. A typical day involves conducting sales calls on distributors and potential users of Hubbell products, training distributor personnel to effectively sell and promote these products, and managing distributor inventory to ensure proper stock levels that maximize return on investment. The Territory Sales Manager will also conduct sales training sessions, both internal and external, as directed by field management, and deliver formal sales presentations to various groups, including distributors and end-users. Communication is key in this role, as the Territory Sales Manager will interact with end-users through various channels such as letters, phone calls, small group meetings, and trade shows. They will also serve as a customer information center, providing literature, technical details, and product information to distributors and end-users. Building strong relationships with distribution partners and end-users is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with the District Manager regarding new products, modifications, and sales tools. The role may also involve covering open territories as assigned by the District Manager.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TEAMS, Salesforce, and SAP Concur Solutions.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
