About the position

The Industrial Sales Territory Manager will be responsible for building exceptional client relationships and developing sales from strategy to execution. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is determined to utilize their sales skills to drive customer acquisition and retention through a strong communication process. This position will report to the Director of Industrial Products and is a remote/off-site position, preferably based in California. The compensation will include a base salary and commissions. In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will manage and develop growth for Morbark Industrial product export sales, which include Recycling, Forestry, Rayco Crawler Mulchers & Off-Road Trucks, and Denis Cimaf Attachments. The responsibilities will include the identification and development of dealers, generating sales that meet the growth expectations set forth by company leadership, and developing yearly sales plans that support the stated growth of the leadership team. The manager will also be responsible for executing an annual travel plan that supports development and relationships, maintaining strong relationships with independent dealers, and working directly with dealer accounts and company parts representatives to drive parts sales and improve service levels. The Territory Sales Manager will monitor quarterly and yearly performance to ensure the success of yearly sales goals, provide monthly sales forecasts to the operations team, and communicate market changes and trends while making recommendations to inside sales and marketing teams. This role requires acquiring new business through prospecting, building and growing existing client relationships, conducting presentations, and key client meetings. The position requires travel approximately 50% of the time, or as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop growth for Morbark Industrial product export sales including Recycling, Forestry, Rayco Crawler Mulchers & Off-Road Trucks and Denis Cimaf Attachments.
  • Identify and develop dealers.

  • Develop yearly sales plans that support the stated growth of the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing is preferred.
  • A proven sales record with a minimum of 2 years' experience selling heavy machinery.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • Must have a valid, clean driver's license.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Good written, oral, and reading communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be multitask oriented, organized, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the heavy machinery industry.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting and performance metrics.
