About the position

The Territory Sales Manager - West is responsible for expanding market share in the flexible packaging market across the western United States and Canada. This role focuses on generating new business, driving revenue and margin growth, and engaging with strategic regional accounts to present the company's product portfolio effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Expand depth/breadth in strategic regional accounts through high-level engagements.
  • Present the value of the entire product portfolio to large groups.
  • Grow sales by mapping customer applications and developing relationships.
  • Identify key value drivers of the offering to the customer.
  • Build an annual sales plan that aligns with territory objectives.
  • Plan customer interactions with clear objectives and agendas.
  • Follow a regimented sales process and gain commitments at each stage.
  • Identify and overcome potential objections to the offer.
  • Track and report account activity and manage a sales funnel.
  • Utilize a Strong Team Selling approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a science-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of technical or commercial roles, preferably in sales within the Packaging market.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to build commercial proposals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Proactive thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
