About the position

The Territory Sales Manager - West is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth in the flexible packaging market across the western United States and Canada. This role involves engaging with strategic regional accounts, presenting product value, and developing relationships to generate new business. The position requires strong financial acumen and the ability to build commercial proposals while effectively managing customer interactions and sales processes.

Responsibilities

  • Expand depth and breadth in strategic regional accounts.
  • Engage in high-level and cross-functional interactions within customer organizations.
  • Present the value of the entire product portfolio to large groups.
  • Grow sales by mapping customer applications and developing relationships.
  • Build an annual sales plan that aligns with market segment strategy.
  • Effectively plan customer interactions with clear objectives and agendas.
  • Utilize Miller-Heiman sales tools and follow a regimented sales process.
  • Track and report account activity and manage a sales funnel in Salesforce.com.
  • Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a Science-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical or commercial roles, preferably in sales within the Packaging market.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong personal and interpersonal working skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
