About the position

The Flexible Packaging Territory Sales Manager - West is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth for flexible packaging customers in the western part of the US and Canada. This role involves engaging with strategic regional accounts, presenting product value, and building relationships to generate new business. The position requires strong financial acumen and the ability to develop commercial proposals while effectively managing customer interactions and sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Expand depth and breadth in strategic regional accounts.
• Engage in high-level and cross-functional interactions within customer organizations.
• Present the value of the entire product portfolio to large groups.
• Build commercial proposals with strong financial acumen.
• Grow sales by mapping customer applications and developing relationships.
• Identify key value drivers of offerings to customers.
• Build an annual sales plan aligned with market segment strategy.
• Plan customer interactions with clear objectives and agendas.
• Follow a regimented sales process and gain commitments at each stage.
• Identify and overcome potential objections to offers.
• Track and report account activity and manage a sales funnel.
• Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce effectively.
• Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EHS expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a Science-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of technical or commercial roles, preferably in sales within the Packaging market.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong personal and interpersonal working skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
