About the position

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) at Bobcat of Pittsburgh is responsible for driving sales of new and used Bobcat equipment and attachments within a defined geographic territory. This role involves developing innovative sales strategies, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring overall performance in sales metrics such as market share and profitability. The TSM will represent the company professionally, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager to identify new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Bobcat of Pittsburgh in a professional manner.
  • Develop assigned territory to drive sales of new and used Bobcat equipment and attachments.
  • Plan and execute field sales days including meetings, prospecting, and cold calls.
  • Conduct machine and attachment demonstrations.
  • Ensure consistent performance in account management and effective CRM utilization.
  • Monitor business trends and communicate the state of the business effectively.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Bobcat products for consultative assistance.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to prioritize new business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing customers and form new partnerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and maintain positive relationships with customers and leaders.
  • Strong customer satisfaction skills and ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Proven ability to market products, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Self-starter with proactive and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software.
  • Ability to travel within a territory and work flexible hours in various environmental conditions.
  • Physical ability to climb in and out of vehicles and equipment for demonstrations.
  • Valid driver's license meeting insurance requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience in Heavy Equipment Sales (Preferred)
  • 2 years of B2B sales experience (Preferred)
