About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for managing a designated territory in Salt Lake City, UT, focusing on window and door sales. This role involves servicing existing customers, establishing relationships with new clients, and driving sales revenue growth through effective account management and sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, service, and grow established accounts
  • Prospect, qualify, develop, and support new accounts
  • Cross-sell various brands
  • Study existing and potential volume by market segment
  • Utilize sales resources to secure new business
  • Plan and organize daily work schedule using a structured call frequency system
  • Conduct and participate in sales promotions and customer educational meetings
  • Generate leads and follow through
  • Evaluate results and competitive developments
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Submit annual sales forecast
  • Conduct competitive analysis and gather marketplace information
  • Prepare and present customized sales presentations
  • Provide sales administration and maintain historical records
  • Submit weekly sales reports as required
  • Handle forms and other lines of communication
  • Develop and maintain customer profiles and territory sales records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven direct outside sales experience, preferably in the building products industry
  • Thorough knowledge of the building products industry and sales management experience
  • Strong problem solving and sales negotiation skills
  • General knowledge of major competitive brands
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with sales planning, budgeting, and T&E expense management
  • Solid time management skills
  • Adept at prioritizing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong personal motivation and ethics
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including CRM, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Building material background preferred, with emphasis on millwork and/or windows and doors
