About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Option Care Health is responsible for managing sales, marketing, and business development activities to exceed revenue and gross margin objectives within a designated territory. This role involves identifying growth opportunities, directing the activities of the sales team, and ensuring alignment with national business unit objectives. The manager will engage in account management, resolve customer service issues, and develop a high-performing sales team while maintaining strong relationships with branch management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by partnering with operations to build market growth plans.
  • Set goals and develop sales forecasts for assigned territories in alignment with national objectives.
  • Develop regional strategic market plans to increase market penetration.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of promotional activities.
  • Engage cross-functionally to ensure alignment of sales efforts with branches and personnel.
  • Develop Account Executives to create and deliver sales presentations.
  • Lead by example in creating new business opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with branch management to support sales efforts.
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to develop sales plans accordingly.
  • Analyze input from various sources to create new initiatives and business plans.
  • Monitor activity for the sales team to focus on priority growth targets.
  • Serve as an expert in local market dynamics and complex disease states.
  • Responsible for staffing, performance reviews, and training of staff.
  • Identify opportunities and develop relationships with alliance partners.
  • Comply with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Delegate work and hold team members accountable for growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a clinical field, or high school diploma with 5 years of related sales experience.
  • 1-2 years of business-to-business healthcare/medical sales leadership experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting sales data to identify trends and drive improvement.
  • Experience in time management and project tracking.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations to various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA in Business Administration with at least 4 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
  • Prior experience selling strategic solutions to hospitals and health systems.
  • Infusion/health care service experience in therapeutic areas such as anti-infective, nutrition, immunology, oncology, or transplant.
  • Basic understanding of billing and reimbursement procedures.
  • One year of experience directly managing people in a sales environment.
