About the position

HydrauliCircuit Technology (HCT) is seeking a Territory Sales Manager with a proven track record in product application selling and business development. This role is primarily field-based, focusing on developing and managing accounts across the United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling excavator auxiliary hydraulic kits to OEMs, AEMs, and authorized heavy equipment dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada. HCT offers on-the-job training to help you become an industry expert in this niche market. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be expected to travel approximately 50% of the time, engaging in effective prospecting, developing new accounts, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Daily responsibilities include making outbound sales calls, responding to inbound inquiries, and contributing to the achievement of sales goals. You will also be required to learn and follow HCT's selling system, skillfully demonstrate products, and validate application solutions for customers' hydraulic kit needs. Utilizing CRM systems will be essential for adding new companies, managing contacts, creating quotations, and prospecting new business opportunities. You will also be responsible for setting up on-site sales training for accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and attending industry tradeshows to promote HCT's offerings. The position demands a high level of professionalism, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure while striving for best-in-class customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout the U.S., approximately 50% in the field.
  • Effectively prospect, develop, and grow new accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with, manage, and grow existing accounts.
  • Make daily outbound sales calls and sales visits.
  • Contribute to achieving and/or exceeding sales goals and objectives.
  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries for quotes and customer service needs.
  • Learn and follow HCT selling system and processes.
  • Skillfully demonstrate products and services to customers.
  • Determine and validate multi-level application solutions for customers' hydraulic kit needs.
  • Use CRM to add new companies, contacts, and create quotations.
  • Use CRM for prospecting new business and follow-ups while gathering and recording strategic information.
  • Follow up timely on cold and warm opportunities to further the sales process.
  • Set up on-site sales training for new and existing accounts to present the company, products, and services available.
  • Professionally solve problems and work under pressure.
  • Strive for best-in-class customer service and support.
  • Attend industry tradeshows.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor (B.A. or B.S.) Degree.
  • 5+ years' experience in application selling and business development.
  • Successful background in outside sales.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to measure, prospect, and target new accounts.
  • Open to overtime when necessary for deadlines, including some day trips and occasional overnight trips.
  • Hands-on training at the home office and in the field to learn about products, customers, and the industry.
  • High attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Capable of working under pressure.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and lift 35-50 lbs.
  • Pass a drug screening and background check.
